For this entry if you went as far as to have read this entire blog then hats off to you and you really will be saying Hausta Lavista!! Because this is well and truly the final entry for this blog for Unit 3 Moving image. Also make sure when you read this entry you get a bag of popcorn and some booze, it may take a while...

Things to mention & Questions to ask myself:

  • Make a Brief Story
  • What went well?
  • What didn't go so well?
  • What could I improve on?
  • Talk briefly about the journey of project and how I felt (my opinion)
  • Favourite test/animation and why?)
  • What I enjoyed most about this project?
  • What I didn't enjoy about this project?
  • If I was to do this project again, what would I do differently?

On my project which I started on the 9th of March it has been a excitingly interesting rollercoaster ride because we started off all normal going to uni having a normal life seeing your friends saying the tutors face-to-face just normal just the way you're supposed to be in life and then whilst working tirelessly on projects near the beginning of our project where we were supposed to be showing our animations we were working on when we was listening groups back in the very beginning of the project but on the week we are supposed to do uni shutdown on the Tuesday and the Tuesday was the last day when is the Wednesday we were supposed to show everyone the animations but sadly next thing you know we we are bombarded with this pandemic and having to work on our projects tirelessly from home. Beginning of the project and at this point into the project where we were supposed to be showing our animations we were working on there in groups or individually and unfortunately we was hit with the coronavirus so we was unable to see everyone's animations. Seeing as was hit with the coronavirus and lockdown malarkey was going on lockdown here hit the nation on the 20th of but basically where we can't leave our homes yes it's for exercise or essential reasons so therefore we've had to deal with this in an interesting way regarding our uni for projects where we had to work from home and using zoom to contact people mostly our tutors, again thank you Paul Jordan and Alex!
As well as using slack which is basically WhatsApp but for educational purposes.

Meant we have to adapt our way of learning and we had to find other ways of experimentation finding a way to get to grips with working from home basically we had to work our way around the situation, and basically fat found this project has a bit of a problem solving its own really. Despite being working from home in quarantine for the majority of the project I can't lie I have enjoyed the project the unit was good I really got myself stuck into it and I just loved every minute the same as the course I'm loving locals loving every minute of enjoyed the ride so here goes nothing here goes the rest of the evaluation.

So after being told we are stuck at home I'm still at this point working on different animations trying to get used to how to use premiere pro and basically creating practice animations based of a book called the amazing story generator at which Keith bought in when we was at the Uni at the very beginning of this project which was helpful because it taught us to put a narrative together successfullySo after being told we are stuck at home I am still at this point working on different animations trying to get used to how to use premiere pro and basically creating practice animations based of a book called the amazing story generator,  which Keith bought in when we was at the Uni at the very beginning of this project which was helpful because it taught us to put a narrative together successfully  also what was basically doing in the uni anyway and as far as we got, because of that I spent the next week also creating of the renovations partly for experimentation purposes and partly for something to do which out of all those animations of that together I think the Star Pars one was the most successful animation out of the 30 second orations we had to put together for that part of the project although having saying that I also liked the animation I did based of our current situation with the coronavirus or COVID-19 Felt like the animation worked well as well because it was based on the current situation and everyone now knew what this is unless they were born after this time, in terms of visual effects and sound effects I think the samples animation of the most successful because the visuals are better and sound and effects works well with this animation. Like the least successful animation out of those ones we were creating was the first one I created which was the second honeymoon one because it was too fast you couldn't understand the storyline unless you looked at storyboard for preference the visuals are way too quick and the sound was okay but was a bit hit and miss really butLike the least successful animation out of those ones we were creating was the first one I created which was the second honeymoon one because it was too fast you couldn't understand the storyline unless you look at the storyboard for preference the visuals are way too quick and the sound was okay but was a bit hit and miss really but considering that was the first animation night mate I can't really badly of it because it's part of my learning curve and how to get where am now.  I can critique the animation and go hey, it's too fast.

For the next part of the project we were assigned to make her 30 second Ident a program on Channel 4 called BLURT! Wh where we were supposed to pick three designers and artists to create this animation/bumper. And for that I started off with researching different graphic designers, illlusrators, artists, photographers and filmmakers. But of course before I could've even done that I had to search up the definition for the word flirt and find other words that mean the same thing basically I knew what I was working with. After researching about Felt these types of artists designers graphic designers photographers and filmmakers I then went on to research about logos where I found different logos to which inspired me to come up with ideas for design me a logo and there was many ideas that inspired me to do so I had to research that first and then got to the drawing board and in my sketchbookFelt these types of artists designers graphic designers photographers and filmmakers I then went on to research about logos where I found different logos to which inspired me to come up with ideas for design me a logo and there was many ideas that inspired me to do so I had to research that first and then got to the drawing board and in my sketchbook I designed some logos for blurts based on what I'm tempted blood to be so I'm maybe doing stations of pencil with with the word blurt or paint splats rainbows because icy blast is quite a colourful thing et cetera et cetera so I then developed these Via on the illustrator, i'll come up with various different designs but I think if there was anything I could improve with these logos is maybe make them simple or simpler but affective and pick one which I think would suit the designers I've picked that may be a thing I would improve on. After all that of the planning and researching blurts and different designers I looked at different people and made a bit of a shortlist who was so bass who is the graphic designer and he is known for making the shining poster the opening in choice of psycho and anatomy of a murder and I was going to look at himAfter all that of the planning and researching blurts and different designers I looked at different people and made a bit of a shortlist who was so bass who is the graphic designer and he is known for making the shining poster the opening in choice of psycho and anatomy of a murder and I was going to look at him, so as well for the fact that we've done the animation work based on his imagery thanks to Jordans technical workshops. I've looked at Stanley with his filmmaking work and now he's gone for making a comic book into a movie. To briefly walk Disney but didn't go along with this because the idea I had was too complex. Spielberg with his movies similar to Stanley XX don't recall him making any books, Roy Litchard and Stijn known for his poor heart back in the nineteen sixties to eighties, I called Andre who was recommended to me from Paul as part of my feedback, morag Meyer scoff, known for making upset tartan paintings that's very contemporary and also the works of Roger Hargreaves in the Mr men that's inspired me and the works from an image from France Ferdinand that's both of the Soviet posters into Stacey parody and a more contemporary version of that by David Reid Roydon Readingknown for making upset tartan paintings that's very contemporary and also the works of Roger Hargreaves in the Mr men that's inspired me and the works from an image from France Ferdinand that's both of the Soviet posters into Stacey parody and a more contemporary version of that by David Reid Roydon Roydon. Yes these were my shortlisted artists that I wanted to look into and I figured crikey I have so many of these I have to make a shortlist and by doing so I made some bumpers which you would've thought in the past entriesYes these were my shortlisted artists that I wanted to look into and I figured crikey I have so many of these I have to make a shortlist and by doing so I made some bumpers which you would've thought in the past entries. I did one for Spielberg which was alright in the end but I feel like maybe I could improve further with my affect visual fits but the reason as to why I didn't pick him necessarily was because I hadn't watched most of his movies and it wouldn't have made sense for me to pick someone who I haven't seen much of the work we have seen some of it but not loads of it. I did a test for Stanley is work it's basically on Marvel comics which then progressed onto movies and because I seen a lot of movies and really like the Marvel film series I wanted to face work on that but in my own interpreted why but I chose him, it's Roy Litchard and Stijn was nineteen sixties to eighties pop up because I knew quite a bit about him anyway and wanted to learn a bit more about his art style and is how we come around with a part in things like that and I wanted to create my work similarly to Liechtensteiner is my work when I'm drawing is very PopArt comic style. There was also a Disney but like I say my day was a bit too complex I didn't pick that one that was discarded straight away I also looked at mask off and I thought her work was too abstract to make an animation with unless it would just be patterns which is okay but not the thing I wanted from Blurt,  under kind of artwork.

There was also Michael Gondry who to be fair I could've picked for this project like for making my 32nd animation and I didn't because the kind of story I wanted to tell with my eye done Michael Condry didn't exactly fit after planning and organising and yeah just didn't fit. So sadly he has not picked this time and of course you're only allowed three artists anyway so that's another reason as to why I didn't pick up Michael Gondry there was also Roger Hargreaves who I said was an inspiration mine back when I was little when I was reading the Mr men and for the sake of nostalgia I've picked him because how fun would it be to create your own Mr manSo sadly he has not picked this time and of course you're only allowed three artists anyway so that's another reason as to why I didn't pick up Michael Gondry there was also Roger Hargreaves who I said was an inspiration mine back when I was little when I was reading the Mr men and for the sake of nostalgia I've picked him because how fun would it be to create your own Mr man yeah I decided to pick Roy Lichtenstein Stanley and Roger Hargreaves for my three although there was also Saul Bass  who is well his work if anything has been the way I've learnt a lot and show my progression in so I kind of wish I picked him but his work we had to recreate our own versions of the psycho intro and Anatomy of. a murder. I ended up deciding on pick Roy Lichtenstein Stan Lee and Roger Hargreaves for my three although there was also Saul Bass who is well his work if anything has been the way I've learnt a lot and show my progression in so I kind of wish I picked him but his work we had to recreate our own versions of the psycho intro and the as we have a murder and begin with I don't have a clue I didn't know what I was doing and then I have the workshop with Jordan and extra tutorials with him and ended up teaching myself different bits after sussing out the basics of Jordan how to recreate my own interpretation of those pieces and it's thanks to those pieces that I've been able to create some of my other renovations to. You could say that his work has been the way I've learnt and has been the way forward for me basically.

So yeah that's how come along with that idea after doing research planning organising and things like that and researching different types of animation as well I've also based on my choices from my target audience which as I say is I feel in this case quite a controversial matter which I won't go on about because I already mention that various times in this blog entry. Alongside that there's also been sessions I've done photography of the Channel 4 logo research on the Channel 4 logo and different I don't watching animations from Keith website 3 x 3 x 3 looking at work by Paul his work with his printing which inspired me to get away from the computer for five minutes from my work and looking at Jordans work on his website which is very abstract which is a similar way as to how I work it was good to see, yeah I say the things that went well was the fact that I've been experimental with this project I've tried my best to respond to feedback as much as I can I've tried to adapt to our current situation and somehow managed to not rip down the walls and get on with the project really I say that's a achievement on its own, I think my planning this project has gone well for once I've been quite successful and the time management side of it which I think in this case this current situation has done me favours because I'm not having best time because of travel and because of other people and destruction and things I'm able to just get on so there is a good in a bad situation.

I think in terms of being stuck home this project has gone very successfully but if there is feelings I could improve I would admit I would've done a journal where I kept up my days regularly every single day but I didn't do that because of the current situation was in and because as I wanted to create a sketchbook as my blog and a journal if you like this project has gone very successfully but if there is feelings I could improve I would admit I would've done a journal where I kept up my days regularly every single day but I didn't do that because of the current situation was in and because as I wanted to create a sketchbook as my blog and as Journal so yeah there is that and I would've also said maybe it be more a little more practical with experimentation where I'm not on the computer because I've done some and quite a bit but I don't know I guess I'd want it wanted to try other activities as well but there is other projects and times to do that I would also say something else to improve on is the way put my audio together which I have already mentioned in the previous sentence mention evaluation so I won't go on about that too much. I would also said for ways to improve as the way I've been filming I can't lie that's somewhere else to improve as well, and finally another form of improvement I think I could've done is look further with my history of the other artists maybe I don't know to maybe find it in a bit more depth.

Anyway if I was to do this project again I would definitely do it again no doubt about it I enjoyed it but if I did I would possibly have a go with the same artist but improve that I have already done or I would rethink and choose different artists and create blurting another interpreted way.

The things I enjoyed most about this project was designing my Mr Men because I really enjoyed that it was fun to design my own Mr Men based over to Hargreaves characters it's just fun to create an original characters as Mr Men I also enjoyed getting to know after effects on Premier enjoyed making the Saul Bass animations because it got me quite far with this project and has taught me a lot I enjoyed putting together footage for my bumpers my 10 second animations and my 30 second animation it was interesting experimenting with sound I found it quite fun today as well I enjoyed it enjoyed making the full bus animations because it got me quite far with this project and has taught me a lot I enjoyed putting together footage for my bumpers my 10 second animations and 30 second animation. Drawing the Marvel characters because I like Marvel movies and I like the characters I drew I also like to draw on the Roy Lichtenstein work because his work is very similar to the way I work of the Comic retro Pop-art  kind of aesthetic.

I enjoyed the idea of learning and discovering new things whilst doing this project it sounds mad when I say it but I enjoyed learning and discovering how to create an experiment using after affects Premier discovering more than 30 shop in a straighter and I enjoyed finding things out about the artists and designers as looking at and finding different references to back up at work and writing the reviews on the tasks for Alex's Visual Theory because I saw it as a challenge I could do and is based on opinion and our current work. What is receiving feedback and giving feedback to peers and basically saying like they've created and I've enjoyed the idea of hearing at a different point of view about my work.

I liked designing my logos and experimenting for the identity of blurt that was interesting and that is able to let my creative mind run wild basically and see what I can create.  I also enjoyed experimenting with illustrator and photo shop where I've drawn imagery on illustrator which has been fun it's been tedious and taken awhile but it's been fun and it was worth it and then I've also experimenting photo shops and I've been joyed experimenting a different blend modes discovering the use of the pattern paint brush and the pattern as an option for creating your own.

I have also very much enjoyed experimenting with illustrator and photo shop where I've drawn imagery on illustrator which has been fun it's been tedious and taken a while but it's been fun and it was worth it and then I've also experimenting photo shops and I've been joyed experimenting a different blend modes discovering the use of the pattern paint brush and the pattern as an option for creating your own Russian pattern and 30 shop which was fun so yeah I have really enjoyed this project has been a lot of things I have enjoyed despite being at home it's not all bad when you can still enjoy yourself whilst doing a project for uni is kept me on my toes and it's given me something to do so I can't complain too much. Really enjoyed editing my animations together well I've just enjoyed the journey saying from how I can barely put an animation together to all the sudden being able to put a 30 second generation together all the sudden being able to use after Effects premiere pro getting to know photo shop and then the state of further I've enjoyed it. I have enjoyed creating this blog too.

I say the things I enjoyed the least and I did enjoy it but I would be lying if I said I was my favourite thing to do for this project, I wasn't quite jumping up and down with joy for some of it, because I found it quite a struggle on till well basically two days ago, where Paul told me about the FN button on the Mac keyboard and that's been a saviour for the last couple days as it I am able to talk to the computer and it's easier to get my work done quicker otherwise id probably still be working on it after deadline day...  As I say, this is the reason I enjoyed the least because I do like a challenge so I didn't mind that but I stumbled across some annoyances whilst creating this blog, as I had many technical issues, for instance, where I highlighted some words and it was legible I managed to lose footage I can see what video I had so I had to send it as a public post and then find out what video there was the problem with switching logs around life I did a bit on the wrong old are you can't change that which is kind of annoying. Had this you with videos well late with some of the video I found it quite annoying because you can put videos on the same line as all one line down the centre and and It was quite tedious to put images onto the blog because If I wanted imagery on the same line it would sometimes move to where I didn't want it. don't get me wrong I liked doing the blog on blogger, because it is different and new and again its enabled me to try something new and jump out of the comfort blanket of working in a sketch book- but I have enjoyed it because it has been a challenge and something to grip my teeth into.

Yeah I would definitely do this project again and if I was I would probably pick different artists maybe the ones I didn't pick for my 10 second number I would've definitely a Saul Bass, and if I was able to check on it isn't fully my fault as I probably would've experimented further with other ways of creating art as well in a graphic way my maybe using different mediums more photography maybe or more print processing things like that really. Overall I have really enjoyed this project I've loved every minute pretty much and I'm somewhat sad to see the end but I'm looking forward to the next adventure next year and looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into the next project, this year has been a blast and I'll miss it when the degree is over.

And I know it's not the most relevant but a huge thank you to Paul foot still teaching us Wells on the quarantine and guiding us and to Jordan for the technical workshops Alex for the review work and essay feedback. It won't be you guys would probably be struggling not motivated.
